Dear Wallasey Customers first an apology, an explanation and then great news for you!
Firstly, on behalf of Bongo and myself let me apologise for Sunday at Wallasey Food Fair (St Mary's College) Our absence was through no fault of ours and I'm going to take a moment to explain if I may.
When we arrived at the school, the main gates were shut and locked and the letting agent: School Lettings Solutions hadn't turned up and then didn't turn up all day. At 10am (the time the market was due to start) some traders decided to wait for the school caretaker to come and set up in the car park outside. However we hadn't anticipated to be outside and were not dressed or prepared for it, so sadly we had no option but to leave. This unusual 'locked out' situation was not our fault, or the fault of Sally who organises the event. In fact she did everything she could - even contacting the headmaster of St Mary's College, who kindly sent the school caretaker to the school to unlock the gates so the event could, at least, set up in the car park. So massive apologies to all our Bongo's customers out there.....
We have asked for an apology and attempted to explain about being an independent food producer.
However we do have a happy Christmas ending for you...
We are now stocked in Wallasey at Stollies Cafe and Delicatessen and they open on 8th December - so you can get your Bongo's locally before Christmas! So check them out on Facebook and their website, go support them and shop local people!
We will be back at Wallasey Food Fair next year at it's new location of The Mosslands School, Mosslands Drive, Wallasey CH45 8PJ so check out the event on Facebook and we'll let you know when we are back.
A wonderful Christmas and a Bongo's new year to you all,
D&M
