Bongo's Chillis

Welcome to the world Bongo Baby James!

We first met Stacey at Warrington Market when she was in a great deal of pain during a 2 week long slow labour - ouch! I offered her a jar of Chillimanjaro to “help her along” as advised by her Mum and Auntie, nothing brings on full labour like something hot and spicy! Stacey said:

“My Auntie pointed out Bongo’s stall as she knows I love spicy food. I had been in slow labour for 2 weeks and suffered 2 lots of reduced movement from my baby, so I wanted him out safe.

The next day I tasted the Chillimanjaro and my contractions started. At the hospital I was told I wasn’t dilated enough, so I was sent home.

When I got home I ate a few crackers and cheese with Chillimanjaro and at 6am I was admitted to hospital. I was in so much pain I gave into an epidural - the whole time craving another Chillimanjaro cracker ha ha!

At 16.46 the most perfect little prince was born, 7lb 10oz of pure perfection breathing and screaming. Kyle and I called him James.

I’ve almost run out of my Chillimanjaro now as I’ve been craving it with everything! James seems to like it too, they say that babies can taste what their mothers eat when they breastfeed. When I have it he takes really long feeds! Just like his mum - he knows a good taste when he has it!”

So there you have it, we have our own very special little Chillimanjaro baby and he’s beautiful. I can’t wait to have another cuddle when we’re back at Warrington in March.

Welcome to the world baby James, may it be full of love laughter and chillis!
